Dr. Vadapalli joined IDSC after serving as Program Director for the Center for Agile and Adaptive Additive Manufacturing and Senior Director for IT Support at the University of North Texas (UNT) in Denton. Prior to UNT, Dr. Vadapalli was a Senior Research Scientist at the High-Performance Computing Center at Texas Tech University (TTU) in Lubbock. In those roles, he helped secure nearly $3 million dollars in external funding, more than $40 million in grant proposals, and more than $230 million in-kind grants for skilled workforce training. One of Dr. Vadapalli’s priorities is advancing cancer care and research through machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), and powerful computer models. At TTU, he partnered with researchers at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Rice University to accelerate the development of patient treatment plans. Dr. Vadapalli is also interested in applying advanced computing tools to develop sophisticated climate models involving ocean and atmospheric conditions. Dr. Vadapalli holds a Doctorate in Nuclear Physics from Andhra University in India, and a Master’s degree in Computational Engineering from Mississippi State. He and his wife have two sons.

Dr. Abd Rahman is an Associate Professor of Data Science at Department of Physics Universiti Putra Malaysia. During his PhD studies, he worked on developing new algorithms for multi-floor indoor localization system and also proposing new approach in indoor localization system based on WLAN. He has also joined Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs (now Nokia Bell Labs), Dublin, Ireland as a post-graduate research intern to carried out research and working with research team on co-localization and tracking algorithm for WLAN networks. He has also served as an invited researcher in Bell Labs Antwerp, Belgium to apply the localization system for Bell-Labs Future-X day. In 2019, he has been attached to the Indian Institute Technology Kanpur, India, as a Postdoctoral Fellow working on peer-to-peer networks. He has also served multiple positions in Ministry of Education and Higher education, Malaysia such as technical committee for Smart Data Project and technical workforce for Big Data Project between 2019 to 2021. I am also a Fellow of CEO@Faculty at the ministry of Higher Education where he has been placed in National Instruments Penang, Malaysia in 2018. He is currently the Head of Data Science research group in UPM. His current research interest is within the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence where I have published more than 40 high impact articles in the area. My other research interests includes signal processing, pattern recognition/ matching/ prediction, machine learning algorithms, electromagnetics-related computation and modelling and RF and microwave based sensor system.
Bio: Prof J. Mark Bishop is now an Emeritus Professor of Cognitive Computing at Goldsmiths, University of London where he has been a Director of the TCIDA (The Centre for Intelligent Data Analytics). In that context, he has led a group that has successfully developed commercial state-of-art analytic systems for fraud detection and business-to-business e-procurement. Over his career Mark’s research has spanned the theory and application of Artificial Intelligence and its underlying philosophy; in this context he is regularly invited to advise on policy at the UN (Geneva/Turin/Birmingham), the EC (Brussels) and the UK (Parliament/Whitehall). In 2010 Mark was elected to Chair the AISB. The AISB (the UK Society for Artificial Intelligence & the Simulation of Behaviour) is the world’s oldest society for the study of AI and Mark served a four-year term as Chair [2010-2014] during which he was co-opted onto the Organising Committee of ICRAC (International Committee for Robot Arms Control). He has served as associate Editor of seven academic journals in the field of AI and Cognitive Science and as a Business Consultant on both AI & AI/Data ethics. Mark enjoys a high media profile and is regularly asked for comment in both national and international media; most notably critiquing the doomsday predictions of Prof Stephen Hawking, Elon Musk et al. (concerning the threat posed by AI). In this context, an invited piece for the New Scientist magazine became the most downloaded article of the issue. Dr. Hadagali Ashoka is an accomplished academic and researcher with over 16 years of experience in biotechnology, systems biology, and metabolic engineering. He holds a Ph.D from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), where his research focused on Modeling the Effect of Natural Ingredients and Drugs on Blood Glucose Dynamics. He is currently an assistant professor at B.M.S. College of Engineering, Bengaluru, where he teaches and conducts research in Biotechnology. Dr. Nandini Prasad K.S is a Professor, Dean of Foreign Affairs, and Head of the Department of Information Science and Engineering at Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology and Management (DSATM), Bengaluru. With over 22 years of experience in academia, research, and industry, she holds a Post-Doctoral Fellowship from City University of London (2023), a Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering (2014), an M.Tech in Computer Science (2005), and a B.E. in Computer Science (2002). Dr. Kazi Md Salim Newaz is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Universiti Malaya (UM), Malaysia. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical and Materials Engineering from the University of Auckland in 2002. He has over 18 years of industrial experience in the petrochemical sector, he has held various positions, including senior roles such as Maintenance Manager, Head of Engineering and Construction, and Plant Manager. He has also served as a consultant for several engineering organizations. Since joining UM in 2009, Dr. Kazi has established himself as a leading researcher in areas such as heat transfer, fouling mitigation, drag reduction, nanofluids, and renewable energy technologies. Mohamad Afendee Mohamed received his Ph.D in Mathematical Cryptography 2011 and currently serves as an associate professor at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Terengganu Malaysia. From 1997 to 2007, he held various positions within the industry working mainly in the areas of telecommunication and information security with different international companies across the globe. In 2008, he joined Universiti Putra Malaysia as a fellow lecturer and enrolled for his PhD degree. Upon completion, he served the university for three years as a senior lecturer. Suchit Ahuja received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Information Technology from Purdue University, USA.
